Sedimentation and erosion are natural processes, but these processes are often accelerated or altered by human-induced activities. This has been evident in small erosion control plans for stream banks and lakes to large, complex mining projects.

TRWE’s clients benefit from our extensive experience in successfully solving some of the the most complex erosion and sedimentation issues. Because of our experience with many gravel mining sites, which have historically been located within riverine environments, TRWE has acquired expertise in the area of fluvial geomorphic principles and is able to help clients obtain regulatory permits. Through seminars, Mr. Walker has shared these geomorphic principles with the mining industry who utilize his concepts on their projects.

TRWE also brings proven public sector sediment and erosion management experience. TRWE was an integral participant in the widely acclaimed effort which led to the development of the San Diego BIA SWPPP template. Additionally, TRWE has designed numerous types of construction BMPs and inspected many BMPs for proper maintenance and effectiveness.
